PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles did not practice on Christmas, and had they done so, quarterback Jalen Hurts would not have participated due to the concussion he sustained in a 36-33 loss to the Washington Commanders.

Hurts’ status for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys is in question while he is in the concussion protocol.

Eagles backup quarterback Kenny Pickett is also listed on the injury report with a rib injury suffered during last Sunday’s loss, though the team estimated he would have been limited in a practice. He entered the Commanders game in the first quarter and finished with 143 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Linebacker Nakobe Dean (abdomen) and running back Will Shipley (concussion) would have missed practice as well.

One player who had his status upgraded was defensive end Bryce Huff, who would have been able to fully participate. Huff has missed the past five games while recovering from wrist surgery and was limited in practice last week after the Eagles opened up his practice window while he remains on injured reserve.

Defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Josh Sweat also missed portions of the Commanders game, but Davis did not appear on the injury report while rest was cited as the reason Sweat would not have practiced Wednesday.
