There appears to be more than murders going on in the building for Meryl Streep and Martin Short.

The co-stars of “Only Murders in the Building,” who dismissed dating rumors earlier this year, were seen holding hands at Thursday’s season 4 premiere of the popular Hulu whodunnit.

Spotted on video shared by Deadline, the pair were filmed walking hand-in-hand into the event at the Paramount lot in Los Angeles, flanked by fellow co-star Steve Martin.

Streep and Short first became the subjects of relationship speculation in January, which reps for the 73-year-old “Father of the Bride” star quickly denied.

“They are just very good friends, nothing more,” his camp told E! News.

On Thursday, in an interview published by The Hollywood Reporter just hours before the season 4 premiere, Short continued to contend they’re just “friends.”

The two-time Emmy winner has been consistent with his message regarding his association with the legendary actress.

During an appearance on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast in January, the host referred to actors as a “power couple.”

“We’re not a couple,” Short clarified. “We are just very close friends.”

Streep, 75, joined season 3 of “Only Murders in the Building” last year, scoring an Emmy nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role as struggling Broadway actress Loretta Durkin, a love interest of Short’s character, Oliver Putnam.

In 2023, a rep for the “Devil Wears Prada” star confirmed her split from celebrated sculptor Don Gummer after 45 years of marriage.

Short’s wife of 30 years, Nancy Dolman, died in 2010 following a battle with ovarian cancer.
