Auto review: 2024 Subaru BRZ is entry level fun

As Subaru has been absent from Grasso’s Garage, we have witnessed a slew of convertibles which are ready to enjoy fun in the sun. But today, we see a different kind of fun, and that is without the sun. I give you the 2024 Subaru BRZ-tS, Subaru’s rear wheel drive, two-door coupe.

Powered with a 2.4-liter horizontal-opposed DOHC engine with a six-speed manual transmission, fun is at the forefront as this two-door coupe is very low to the ground, fun to drive and an experience to ride in. In the Subaru stable, the counterpart to the BRZ-tS shares platforms with Toyota’s GT86. As these two manufacturers developed these 2+2 sports cars together, Subaru assembled them in their Gunma, Japan, plant.

Riding on 18-inch wheels, the BRZ-ts lets you feel every imperfection and bump in the road. For consumers who enjoy riding low and enjoying the cockpit style interior, the BRZ is easily a great choice. But for a full framed 6-foot-2 male, this was difficult to get in and out of, and long distances were slightly uncomfortable.

Near-instantaneous responsiveness, a rigid feel and lightweight structure are noticeable attributes of this coupe, and it can feel small and cockpit-like. Performance and handling are great, while visual appeal, sightlines, aesthetics, and enjoyment top the chart for 2+2 category. 2024 Subaru BRZ-tS
