TAMPA, Fla. — In case fans were watching the Detroit Lions' game, and that's understandable, well, the Red Wings' game in Tampa Bay on Saturday night wasn't worth watching for long.

The Lightning took an early lead, then pulled away early in the second period, skating to a 5-1 victory.

This game resembled one of those games five years ago when the Lightning dominated the series. The Wings had actually won four of the last six games against Tampa heading into Saturday, but didn't extend that success.

Lucas Raymond scored a power-play goal, as the Wings continued their stellar run on the power play (10th game with a goal in 11 games). The Wings were 1 for 6 on the power play.

Goaltender Cam Talbot stopped 11 of 16 shots through two periods before being replaced by Alex Lyon (four saves) to begin the third period.

Brayden Point, Jake Guentzel (power play), Nikita Kucherov, Mitchell Chaffee and Darren Raddysh (power play) scored for the Lightning (25-16-3). Guentzel and Kucherov both added two assists.

The Wings (21-20-4) are 1-1-0 on this four-game road trip, with a game Sunday in Dallas.

Guentzel, Kucherov and Chaffee (Grand Rapids) scored goals 3 minutes, 54 seconds apart early in the second period, extending what had been a 1-0 lead to 4-0 and essentially putting the game away.

Raymond scored his 19th goal, set up on a one-timer by Patrick Kane, to cut the lead to 4-1 at 14:12. But Tampa answered, with Kucherov setting up Raddysh for a one-timer from the point at 15:06, giving the Lightning a four-goal lead.
