CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former President Bill Clinton will stump for Kamala Harris at a Charlotte church service on Sunday, a Harris presidential campaign spokeswoman said Friday.
Clinton will appear a day after the vice president is scheduled to visit the Queen City again. Saturday is the last day of early voting in North Carolina. At least 3 million residents have already voted.
For security reasons, the Harris-Walz campaign didn’t name the church where Clinton will speak at 10 a.m.
Clinton and other political celebrities have repeatedly visited the state in recent weeks given North Carolina’s status as a key swing state.
In a presidential race that remains close. Former President Donald Trump polls 47% of likely voters, a near tie with Kamala Harris’ 45%, according to a national poll released by the UMass Lowell Center for Public Opinion on Thursday.
