Set in an epic voyage through outer space, "Space City" by William Spencer effortlessly weaves together science fiction, action, suspense, drama and romance.

It’s the 22nd century, and everyone knew Earth was about to be destroyed — just not so soon. With a meteor within days of destroying Earth, 27-year-old Spencer Collins is forced to evacuate separately from his mother and sister to Space City, one of the bio-ships meant to serve as humanity’s new home.

Thankfully, Spencer’s uncle Ben, an FBI agent, has his own ship that can take Spencer and his closest friends — but Ben hasn’t told them the whole truth about Space City.

A rogue agent, Nicholas Johnson, has taken over the bio-ship’s American sector, making himself dictator and imprisoning thousands in his deadly work camps. Spencer, a hacking wizard, and his friends must help Ben take down Mr. Johnson before it’s too late.

But more dangers await them in space, including a deadly virus and ghosts from their past — as well as conflicts within their own group. In the end, who can be trusted? Can Spencer defeat these evil forces and save his family and the woman he loves? Can he help humanity establish new life in space? Or was humanity doomed to die along with Earth?

"Space City" will keep readers on the edge of their seats from the very first page. From the chaos unraveling on Earth to the story’s climactic ending, "Space City" is packed with page-turning action. The action is perfectly interwoven with the in-depth development of these characters, creating a well-balanced narrative.

Perhaps the most unique aspect of "Space City" is the neurodivergent protagonist, Spencer. Author William Spencer (who’s neurodivergent himself) provides deft insight into the inner workings of such a unique mind through the story’s diary entry-style narrative. The author reveals Spencer’s weaknesses alongside his strengths, his phobias alongside his bravery. Reading from such a unique character’s perspective was certainly a breath of fresh air.

Through it all, "Space City" is riddled with suspense, leaving readers needing to know what happens next. The story has a few unexpected turns and shocking twists that will both excite and bewilder.

All in all, "Space City" is an entertaining novel that delivers from every angle. Whether you’re a fan of science fiction, action and adventure, thrillers, or mysteries, you’re sure to love this book.
