Modern Men’s Skincare Routine to Look Your Best

on

Published in Health Articles

33% of men don’t wash their face daily.

Are you one of these men? If you are, it’s time to figure out a skincare routine.

Men’s skincare is important. Want to look your best? A skincare routine can help. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but it should be more than the bar of soap you have in the shower.

Keep reading to learn about what products you should be considering in your routine.

The Best Skincare Routine for Male Skin

There are five basic steps and products to use in your face wash routine. We’ll go through each one below and let you know what will work best for the different skin types out there.

The best skincare for men is based on your skin type. If your skin is dry or oily, there are different products out there for you.

Some men may have a specific concern, like acne or dark circles under the eyes. Keep this in mind when picking your products, and try ones that can focus on the main issue you’re looking to address.

Cleanser

If you wash your face every morning and before bed it will rid of anything you’ve picked up throughout the day—dirt, dust, and general bacteria build-up can clog up your pores, causing breakouts.

Toner

Toning prepares your skin for the moisturizers you’re about to put on. It helps them soak in properly and can help with acne or ingrown hairs.

Serum

A serum will address your number one skin concern, whether that’s dry skin or acne. You may not have this men’s skincare product in your cabinet right now, but we suggest you do some research and find one that works for your specific needs.

Eye Cream

Having a specific eye cream is essential because the skin under your eyes is the most delicate. So if you want to tackle dark circles or puffy eyes, this product is for you.

Moisturizer

You will want two different types of moisturizer for night and daytime application. Your daytime moisturizer should have some SPF in it to protect your skin from the sun. Go for SPF 30 or higher if they have it.

For your evening moisturizer, choose something with a fantastic creamy or gel-like texture that will soak in nicely.

Men’s Skincare and Personal Grooming Options

You have many options for face care and overall personal grooming. Maybe you’ve been thinking about a hair transplant or what you would look like if you grew a beard.

If you have a beard, you can purchase many beard-oriented products to ensure you don’t get any flaking.

The best men’s skincare products will depend on your personal need. However, there are quizzes online that can help you determine the best products for you.

What Will Your Routine Look Like?

Now that you know all the steps and what men’s skincare products you should be looking for, you can say goodbye to the bar of soap in the shower and hello to your unique new skincare routine.
