(UPI) The capybara who escaped from Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World in Telford, England, has been safely returned to her home after several days on the loose.

The large rodent, named Cinnamon, was successfully captured Friday after being spotted "in a pond within the zoo's woodland conservation area," zoo officials wrote on Facebook.

The capture came one week after Cinnamon escaped from her enclosure at the zoo and was spotted outside the facility's perimeter fence the following day.

The zoo said Cinnamon was reunited with her twin brother, Churro, and the pair will be kept away from the public for a few days to allow the former fugitive to settle back into her routine at the zoo.

"We're absolutely delighted to have Cinnamon back at the zoo. We've been astounded at the public reaction to Cinnamon's escape and are so grateful to everybody who has helped to return her safely to the zoo," zoo owner Will Dorrell said.
