Luke Grimes hasn't spoken to Kevin Costner since he quit 'Yellowstone'.
The 69-year-old actor played rancher John Dutton on the hit drama series between 2018 and 2023, but Luke hasn't heard from his former co-star since he quit the hit TV show.
Luke, 40 - who plays Kayce Dutton - told Men's Health magazine: "I haven't talked to him since. It's not a case of any hard feelings or anything; it's just, he's Kevin Costner.
"He's a big deal. I do have his phone number - I just don't feel like it's my place to reach out. He can reach out to me if he wants to."
Luke and his co-stars never imagined that Kevin would leave the show in such abrupt fashion.
But the actor has tried to remain philosophical about the situation.
He said: "None of us saw it coming the way it did, and obviously there was news about possible blowups behind the scenes or whatever. But just like in life, man, these things happen, they happen fast, and they're not predictable.
"I lost my father a few years ago. It happened fast, and it was not the way that you would think that that would happen. In life, these things happen and then people have to start making decisions. And in our little 'Yellowstone' world, that helped ramp the show up into a boil."
Luke previously claimed that the 'Yellowstone' cast rose to the "challenge" of replacing Kevin.
The actor suggested that the cast rallied together to overcome the setback.
Luke told E! News: "It feels like every year there's been some crazy new challenges, not unlike this year. There was a big, new challenge, but, you know, challenge accepted."
