Mecum Auctions is once again gearing up to bring its larger-than-life collector car auction in Kissimmee, Florida, with 4,500 vehicles.

Billed as the world’s largest collector car auction, Mecum Kissimmee kicks off Jan. 7 and goes through Jan. 19 with hundreds of cars crossing the auction block every day, including classic Corvettes, American muscle cars, vintage off-roaders and modern-day supercars.

This year’s event boasts nearly 50 collections offered up for auction and featured lots expected to fetch top dollar. Main attractions for this auction include a 1969 Porsche 917K driven by Steve McQueen in “Le Mans,” a 1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra Roadster, a 1970 Lamborghini Miura P400 S, a 1970 Plymouth Superbird Hardtop owned by Richard Petty and a 1966 Porsche 910, the first of its model produced that was driven by a Formula 1 World Champion.

While bidders travel from far and wide to attend the auction in the hopes of taking home a vintage vehicle, the general public is welcome to attend with tickets available for spectators.

Mecum Kissimmee began in a nondescript parking lot as a Corvette-only auction before moving to Osceola Heritage Park in the mid-2000s, where it has grown exponentially.

Aside from the action arena, Mecum attendees can browse exhibitors, hear live music, sample from food trucks, wander rows of collector cars and take a Dodge Thrill Ride with a professional driver.

Live coverage of the auction is available on MotorTrendTV and MotorTrend+.
