GM, ChargePoint partner to install up to 500 ultra-fast charging ports in US
Published in Business News
General Motors Co. and ChargePoint, a leading charging company, are partnering to install up to 500 ultra-fast charging ports in the United States, the companies said Wednesday.
The companies didn't specify where the stations will be but said they would go in "strategic locations." The locations should be open and available to the public before the end of 2025.
Many of the GM Energy-branded stations will have ChargePoint’s Omni Port system, which connects with vehicles that have either the North America Charging Standard (NACS) connection, which includes Tesla Inc.'s Supercharger network, or the Combined Charging System (CCS) connection.
The partnership announcement comes after GM and EVgo, another charging company, said earlier this month they have installed more than 2,000 fast-charger stations across the United States.
