Chevrolet is increasing the trim offerings of its all-electric Silverado for model year 2025, including an entry-level $57,095 truck for fleet and retail customers coming later in the model year.

General Motors Co.'s bowtie brand will also offer on the retail side a $75,195 extended-range Silverado EV LT trim for the first time and an $89,395 extended-range RST trim.

GM launched the Silverado EV for commercial customers last summer with a price tag of $77,905 and estimated range of 450 miles. In late 2023, GM launched a $72,905 Work Truck with 393 miles of range on a full charge.

The automaker in mid-2024 started deliveries of the RST First Edition model for retail customers. The RST First Edition came with 440 miles of range and a price of $94,500, which changed from a price tag of $105,000 and 400-mile range offering.

GM had previously pegged the starting price for the lowest-trim Work Truck at $39,900 when it introduced the pickup in 2022. In 2023, the automaker said it had to increase the price of the base-level offering by an unspecified amount.

GM isn't alone in upping prices. Ford Motor Co. launched its electric F-150 Lightning in 2021 starting at below $40,000. It has since upped the base price of the lowest trim several times to its current $62,995.

GM will also offer a Trail Boss trim on the Silverado EV in calendar year 2025. GM has not released pricing and range specifics on the Trail Boss.

GM's 2025 Silverado EV lineup pricing and range includes:

—Work Truck with standard range: $57,095; an Environmental Protection Agency range estimate will be available later this year

—Work Truck with extended range: $69,495, an EPA-estimated 422 miles of range

—Work Truck with max range: $77,795, an EPA-estimated 492 miles

—LT with extended range: $75,195, an EPA-estimated 408 miles

—LT with extended range with LT premium package: $81,995, an estimated 390 miles

—RST with extended range: $89,395, an estimated 390 miles

—RST with max range: $97,895, an estimated 460 miles

The Silverado EV LT with standard content and the LT premium package may qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit, Chevrolet said.

Chevrolet expects to ship the 2025 Silverado EV trims to customers before the end of 2024.

The electric Silverado is built at GM's Factory Zero Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center.
