CHICAGO — Dylan Larkin and Alex DeBrincat supplied all the offense Wednesday the Red Wings needed.
They each scored, and assisted on each other's goals, as the Wings rolled past Chicago, 4-1.
Joe Veleno supplied added cushion with his first goal of the season, tipping in Moritz Seider's shot at 3 minutes, 3 seconds of the third period to make it 3-1, and Andrew Copp's empty-net goal (his fourth) ended the scoring.
Larkin's goal, his eighth, broke a 1-1 tie in the second period. Larkin took a pass from DeBrincat and accelerated around Chicago defenseman Isaak Phillips, then beat goaltender Petr Mrazek at 14:38.
DeBrincat opening the game's scoring with 1.5 seconds left in the first period. DeBrincat put back a rebound of Larkin's shot from near the slot, batting the puck past a prone Mrazek for his sixth goal.
Goaltender Cam Talbot stopped 28 shots as the Wings moved to 6-5-1 with their second consecutive victory. Chicago outshot the Wings, 29-24.
The Blackhawks' lone goal was Nick Foligno's fifth. Tyler Bertuzzi found Foligno at the post, and Foligno jammed the puck past Talbot at 8:42, tying the game 1-1.
The Wings killed two Chicago power plays, both after the Wings had scored goals themselves and snuffing any Blackhawks momentum.
