Taylor Swift made a big donation to one of Travis Kelce's favorite KC charities

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Much of the focus of Travis Kelce’s foundation is helping kids in Kansas City.
The Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation has long supported Operation Breakthrough in particular. That non-profit’s goal is “to provide a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and to empower their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education.”
Operation Breakthrough’s Ignition Lab has helped teens learn how to work on cars and trucks, turning some of them into electric vehicles. That includes a sweet 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle that is being raffled off to fans.
When talking about his nomination for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award earlier this month, Kelce specifically mentioned Operation Breakthrough.
“I don’t do it for the awards, I don’t do it for the acknowledgment,” Kelce said on the New Heights podcast. “I do it for the smiles on the kids’ faces at the Ignition Lab and at Operation Breakthrough.”
Kelce must have been thrilled to learn that his girlfriend, superstar singer Taylor Swift, made a big donation to Operation Breakthrough. The non-profit organization certainly was and thanked her in a sweet video for the gift of a whopping $250,000.
You may recall that Swift earlier this year also donated to victims of the shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl rally.
