Travis Kelce is completely unbothered by typo on the Chiefs' Super Bowl rings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made a sly nod to girlfriend Taylor Swift during the latest episode of the New Heights podcast.

It came as Kelce said he thoroughly enjoyed the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII ring ceremony, which was held Thursday at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

“It was (an) ... unbelievable night,” Kelce said. “And the ceremony was broadcast live everywhere across the globe if you haven’t caught wind of who was watching.”

The ceremony wasn’t actually broadcast, but Kelce was referencing Swift, who was watching from England after her Eras Tour show in Liverpool. Swift made multiple comments on the Instagram Live of the festivities from Chariah Gordon, the girlfriend of Mecole Hardman.

Jason Kelce, the former Eagles center, then mentioned the mistake on the Chiefs’ rings about the Miami Dolphins’ seed in the playoffs.

“One major little goof on the ring, Miami is listed as the seventh seed because it (the ring) has all of the games you guys had to win to get there. Miami was actually the sixth seed,” Jason Kelce said. “I guess that’s just the way the ring is. ... Are you gonna get it fixed?”

While Jostens, which made the rings, and the Chiefs have not responded to requests about whether a fix will be made, Travis Kelce said the mistake makes the rings a little more special.

“I don’t give a (care),” he said. “I like it that we didn’t give a (care) about what seed Miami is. Yeah, they were the seventh. Who cares? They could’ve done no seeds on the side of them, I would’ve been fine.

“I think it makes it more unique. Like, ‘Oh, yeah, we made it really detailed, and, oops, we screwed up.’ Just makes it more exclusive. We screwed up about something that means nothing.”
