If you work it right, you might be able to kill freedom in America and in the Ukraine with just one vote.

You might also be able to kill abortion freedom, drag queen freedom, gay freedom, freedom to read any book you want and a bunch of other freedoms no one uses much. Read much? Then the hell with it!

You will keep your freedom to own 67 guns, which is good news for gun stores and bad news for grade school kids.

Donald Trump, speed-talking his way into dementia, was the worst president in American history, a breathing memorial to the bigotry and stupidity of nearly half the population.

In 2024 America, you're not supposed to call anyone "stupid." We have better sounding reasons why some people are just flat-out dumb. All of them have more than two syllables and were made up by educators who aren't allowed to tell parents that their kid is, in fact, stupid.

Stupid didn't stay a "condition" for long, though. It's a political party now, the one that used to be the Republican Party but is now just a collection of stupid bigots knee-hugging a gold-plated ego that bellows nonsense

In Ukraine, where the blood of soldiers and civilians pours into the ground, the people of Ukraine are doing something Americans haven't done in a long, long time.

They are bleeding and fighting and dying for freedom, every day. Every day.

In fentanyl and flag-addled America we like to say "Freedom isn't free," and then we smoke another blunt and clean our guns.

Which of my freedoms was saved by the war in Afghanistan? Which of my freedoms was saved by the war in Iraq?

Trump says he will end the war in Ukraine. Maybe he will. After all, he gave us a big choice of beautiful health plans, right? He tamed North Korea, no?

Faced with a problem, Trump either denies it exists, blames it on the press, or says he'll fix it and then doesn't.

Those things being true, would you trust Trump to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, a man who poisons his enemies and bombs civilians? This is particularly true when you consider that Trump ends phone conversations with Putin by saying, "No. You hang up first."

America has never walled our democracy off and then sat inside the wall, trading freedoms with each other.

No. We export democracy, and we have a desire to save other people's freedom that has caused many Americans to die in places where the people don't even speak English.

Right now, freedom in Ukraine exists on the bravery of its people and a thin thread of weapons that runs back to America. Trump can't guarantee freedom in the hospitals of Texas. It's a damn good bet he can't guarantee it in Ukraine.

You can vote to save two countries, or you can vote to stamp out cat-eating in Ohio. One of those choices is stupid.
