Carl’s Jr. is the latest fast food giant to give its value menu a makeover.

The chain announced a rollout of its More Bang, Less Buck value menu this month.

It will be available in 500 restaurants and rolled out to more this fall, according to a news release.

It lists four new burgers and several other items priced at less than $4. But a footnote says prices and participation may vary.

The new burgers are the Cali Jr., the Jalapeño Jr., Bacon Cheese Jr. and Guac Jr. They are single-patty, but customers can make them double-patty for 99 cents more.

Other items includes a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, six-piece Chicken Stars, small fries, chocolate cake, a chocolate chip cookie and a small soft drink.

Carl’s Jr. began as a hot dog cart in Los Angeles in 1941 but was based in Anaheim for most of its existence. It moved its headquarters to Tennessee in 2017.

The chain has more than 1,000 locations and franchises in the United States, the news release said.
