'MUFASA: THE LION KING'

Rated PG for action/violence, peril and some thematic elements.

What it’s about: This prequel to "The Lion King" shares the coming-of-age story of King Mufasa, and details the rift between him and his brother Scar.

The kid attractor factor: The dazzling photorealistic animation, songs and story in this beloved universe.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Your destiny is waiting for you, whether you expect it or not.

Violence: Some sequences of action and peril, fights among lions, dangerous floods, stampedes, etc.

Language: None

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Some of the sequences might be too scary for little kids, but generally OK for all ages.

'SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3'

 

Rated PG for action, some violence, rude humor, thematic elements and mild language.

What it’s about: This third installment in the Sonic franchise sees Team Sonic uniting to take on not one but two Dr. Robotniks to save the world.

The kid attractor factor: The animation, kiddie friendly characters, action/adventure, etc.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Teamwork over going rogue, learning to live with loss instead of enacting revenge.

Violence: Action/peril sequences, danger

Language: Some mild language, rude humor (butt jokes, etc).

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: OK for all ages but maybe too intense or scary for little kids.
