General Motors Co. will build its coming all-electric three-row Cadillac SUV, the Vistiq, at its Spring Hill, Tennessee, plant where the smaller Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV is already produced, the automaker said this week.

The luxury brand has two new EVs coming soon with production of the 2025 Optiq SUV starting later this fall at the Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico and the Vistiq to follow, with sales of the latter starting next year. Cadillac is now offering the all-electric Escalade IQ built at GM's Factory Zero plant in Detroit and Hamtramck. Its ultra-luxury halo Celestiq sedan is hand-built at GM's Global Technical Center in Warren.

"Next year, we are looking forward to launching VISTIQ, a distinctive luxury three-row SUV that will be assembled in Spring Hill, Tennessee, alongside the LYRIQ," Cadillac Vice President John Roth wrote in a Wednesday LinkedIn post. "With VISTIQ in place, Cadillac will have an all-electric model in every global luxury SUV segment, offering more choice for customers. Stay tuned for more news on VISTIQ to come later this year."

Roth noted Cadillac is the first full-line luxury brand to sell more than 20,000 EVs this year with a single model, the Lyriq. In the first three quarters of 2024, GM dealers have sold 20,318 Lyriqs, up from 5,334 sold last year, according to GM's sales report released Tuesday.

"What’s driving LYRIQ’s success are the three key elements customers are looking for when purchasing an EV: over 300 miles in range, stylish design, all at the right price point," Roth wrote. "The Cadillac LYRIQ delivers on all three of those elements and we will follow the same formula for future Cadillac EVs."

Cadillac announced it would add the 2026 Vistiq to its lineup in December 2023. The 2026 Vistiq will be the fifth EV to join the portfolio.
