Fledgling flamingo escapes from British zoo

(UPI) Residents of a seaside town in England are being asked to keep an eye out for a flamingo chick that flew the coop from a local zoo.
The Paignton Zoo said on social media that staff discovered a young bird missing from its enclosure on Sunday.
"One of our curious Flamingo chicks has decided that it wanted to explore the local area this afternoon," the post said. The keepers would like to reunite it with the rest of their family. If you see it around, please can you let Paignton Zoo know.
A spokesperson for the zoo said the flamingo chick is a 4-month-old fledgling and is learning how to fly.
