Emu runs loose through Pennsylvania neighborhood

(UPI) A Pennsylvania woman said she couldn't believe her eyes when she looked out into her street and saw a loose emu.
Airiel Dawson posted video footage to social media showing the emu wandering around her streets in McKeesport.
"I rubbed my eyes like, 'Am I really seeing what I'm seeing?' And it was an emu, alive and in person on my street," Dawson told KDKA-TV.
Police and the flightless bird's owner soon arrived to escort the emu home.
Dawson said she was surprised to learn the Australian bird had escaped from a property only a few streets away from her home.
