Baboon captured after wandering through Cape Town suburbs

(UPI) Animal rescuers in Cape Town, South Africa, said they successfully captured a baboon that had been spotted wandering through multiple suburbs.
The Animal Welfare Society of SA said the baboon is believed to have left its natal troop during the weekend and was spotted wandering through Plumstead, Fairways, Ottery and Kenwyn in the ensuing days.
Residents captured photos and videos of the baboon as it wandered through yards and perched on top of homes.
The AWS said the baboon was safely captured Tuesday morning in Lansdowne.
Residents were warned to steer clear of the baboon during its time on the loose. They were told to keep doors and windows closed and pets indoors.
