'BRAVE THE DARK'
Rated PG-13 for domestic violence/bloody images, suicide, some strong language, teen drinking, drug material and smoking.
What it’s about: Based on the true story of a troubled teen and the drama teacher who took him in.
The kid attractor factor: While it may have some appeal for teens, this is more of a dark adult drama.
Good lessons/bad lessons: There is goodness in people if you allow yourself to have faith in them.
Violence: Some extreme bloody violence against women — shooting, abuse, murder.
Language: Some strong language.
Sex: Teen kissing.
Drugs: Teen drinking, smoking, drug use.
Parents’ advisory: A bit too mature for kids. Fine for teens.

'INHERITANCE'
Rated R for language and some sexual content/nudity.
What it’s about: A young woman uncovers her father's checkered past while on a trip to Egypt after her mother's death.
The kid attractor factor: This is an adult drama/thriller. Not for kids.
Good lessons/bad lessons: You are stronger and more capable than you know. People will always reveal their true nature.
Violence: Some perilous situations — chases, a blow to the face.
Language: Swearing throughout.
Sex: A brief sex scene.
Drugs: Reckless drinking.
Parents’ advisory: Too mature for kids but fine for teens.

'PRESENCE'
Rated R for violence, drug material, language, sexuality and teen drinking.
What it’s about: A family enters a home haunted by a spectral presence, who serves as our point of view.
The kid attractor factor: Not much — this is more of an adult horror/drama, though teens might be drawn to it.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Someone is trying to tell you something — listen.
Violence: Some violence/peril against a teen girl and some other sudden violence/fighting.
Language: Swearing throughout.
Sex: Teen sex scenes (no graphic nudity).
Drugs: Teen drinking and drug use, reference to drug overdoses.
Parents’ advisory: Too mature for kids, OK for teens.
