Is it even possible to have too much Metallica? If so, here's the solution

SAN JOSE, Calif. — If two nights of Metallica is just too much Metallica for you then — well, to be honest, we just don’t understand you at all.

Sigh.

But that doesn’t mean we aren’t willing to pass along information about single-night tickets going on sale for Metallica’s ongoing M72 Tour, which finds the biggest Bay Area rock band of all time doing two nights in most of the city it plays.

The includes the Metallica’s two-night hometown stand at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara — which is set for June 20 and 22. Two-night passes for those shows went on sale a while back (and remain available).

And now folks can buy single-night ducats for the stand starting at 10 a.m. Jan. 17, metallica.lnk.to/M72SingleDay2025. (That’s the general public on-sale info.)

We will not, however, be using that link. In other words, look for our reviews from both shows on this “No Repeat Weekend,” where the set lists will be completely different each night.

There is a presale for Metallica’s Fifth Members fan club, which begins 9 a.m. Jan. 13. Fifth Members need to visit to visit metallica.com/presale-code to request a presale code

There are also presales for Citi cardmembers (www.citientertainment.com) and Verizon customers (Verizon.com/Access) running from 2 p.m. Jan. 13 to 10 p.m. Jan. 16.
