'Vanderpump Rules' alum James Kennedy arrested for domestic violence

“Vanderpump Rules” alum James Kennedy has reportedly been arrested for domestic violence.
The 32-year-old was taken into custody Tuesday night after a witness allegedly saw him grabbing a woman during an argument in California, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Officers with the Burbank Police Department were dispatched to a home in the area and determined the altercation was a domestic incident, but did not see any visible injuries on the alleged victim.
Kennedy was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and reportedly released on $20,000 bail. The case is now being reviewed by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office to determine if charges should be filed, insiders told TMZ.
Tuesday was the night the DJ and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, are believed to have attended fellow Bravo star Kathy Hilton’s holiday party. It’s unclear whether Lewber, an astrologist, was the woman involved in the altercation.
The couple has been together since early 2022, six weeks after Kennedy ended his engagement to castmate Rachel “Raquel” Leviss.
The Daily News has reached out to the Burbank City Attorney’s Office for additional information. A rep for Lewber did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Kennedy’s arrest comes on the heels of Bravo announcing in late November that the upcoming 12th season of “Vanderpump Rules” will feature an entirely new cast. Kennedy first appeared in its second season in 2014 and had been a regular fixture since Season 3.
Former Housewife Lisa Vanderpump, whose L.A. restaurants serve as the backdrop for the show, assured fans this week that the new iteration will “have a different energy to it” and is “not gonna try and compete with the old ‘Vanderpump Rules.'”
“Everyone knew something was coming,” a source told Us Weekly at the time, though “no one really knew” the “extent” of the shakeup.
