'I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears': Prince William reveals Prince Louis' noisy new hobby

Prince William has revealed his youngest son Prince Louis is learning to play the drums.
The 42-year-old royal - who also has Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, nine, with wife Catherine, Princess of Wales - quipped that he spends his "entire life with my fingers in my ears" thanks to his six-year-old boy's noisy new hobby.
Speaking at the Tusk Conservation Awards at The Savoy in London on Wednesday (27.11.24), he quipped: "My youngest is learning the drums that's why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears."
The awards ceremony honouring those who work to protect Africa's heritage was attended by rock legends including Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and Dire Straits star Mark Knopfler.
The Earthshot Prize founder - who, like his late grandfather, Prince Philip, and father, King Charles, is a keen environmentalist - also said about his brood at the star-studded bash: "I want my children to live in a world where swallows still migrate, gorillas still live in the cloud forests of Uganda and rhinos still roam the arid rangelands of Namibia."
William revealing his youngest son's new musical hobby comes after he recently revealed George has taken up scuba diving.
Speaking during a public engagement last month where he met with Olympic swimmers Adam Peaty and Tom Dean, he said: "George loves scuba diving. He's 11 years old. We took him under thinking he would freak out. He absolutely loves it. It's just introducing him to the world of water."
In 2022, William and his wife went scuba diving amid their royal tour of the Caribbean at South Water Caye to see the Belize Barrier Reef.
At the time, William said: "Really fantastic to see the underwater environment here in Belize, and what wonderful work they've been doing to protect the coral and fish life!"
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also water lovers, as William played water polo for Eton College and the University of St. Andrews and Catherine is a fan of cold water swimming.
Speaking on 'The Good, The Bad and The Rugby' podcast in 2023, she explained to William's cousin-in-law Mike Tindall: "The colder, the better. I absolutely love it. Slightly to the point where William's like, 'Catherine, you're crazy.' And it's dark, and it's raining!"
