Adele launched a residency in Las Vegas because she "hates touring" and wanted to keep life as "normal" as possible for her son Angelo.
The pop superstar opened 'Weekends with Adele' at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November 2022 and she brought the shows to a close on Saturday night (23.11.24) and during her last turn on stage the singer revealed why she chose not to hit the road.
In fan footage posted on social media., Adele was seen telling the audience: "I chose to do a residency maybe because I f****** hate touring.
"But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal. And I did do that. But I also wouldn't change it for the world."
However, the singer admitted she's now looking forward to being able to spend her weekends with Angelo - her only child with ex-husband Simon Konecki - now the shows are over.
She added: "I get to be with him [Angelo] on the weekends now because obviously he can't always come. So I love you to bits. ... Thank you for being patient for me."
Adele also shared a special message for her partner Rich Paul, telling him: "Thank you for always bigging me up and making me feel like I could do whatever I wanted to do.
"There's been times when I'm too tired or I'm too emotionally drained ... so I appreciate that."
Adele concluded by thanking her fans for coming to the gigs and admitting she currently has no plans for her career now the residency is over.
She added: "I will miss you terrible. I don't know when I'm next going to perform again. I'm not doing anything else. I'm actually s******* myself about what I am going to do. I don't have any f****** plans.
"Of course, I'll be back. The only thing I'm good at is singing and things like that. I just don't know when I want to next come on stage, but I love you.
"I know it's a real task to come to Vegas to see someone play. It's just what I needed for this season of my life."
