Cher's younger boyfriend is being credited for getting her back in the studio.
The 'If I Could Turn Back Time' singer, 78, has apparently been so "inspired" by her lover Alexander 'A E' Edwards, 38, it's the reason she has returned to making music after not releasing a fresh recording since 2013 - aside from her 2023 Christmas album.
A source has also told Page Six the music executive brought her tracks to get the project on the go.
Cher said she was back at work on new music during an interview last week with Jimmy Fallon.
When the late-night chat show host, 50, asked her: "Could there be another album? Would you do another one?" Cher replied: "I'm about to."
A source added to Page Six she will be in the studio early next year with Alexander collaborating on a session and that she's "really excited" about going back to work.
There have also been rumours Cher is planning a Las Vegas residency.
She has done three previous stints in Sin City - Caesar's Palace in 1980, another run from 2008 to 2011, and from 2017 to 2020 at Dolby Live.
Alexander previously worked as the Vice President of A and R at Def Jam records, and is now at Sony Music Publishing.
He and Cher previously worked together on her 2023 Christmas album and he has a producing credit on the song 'Drop Top Sleigh Ride' featuring Tyga.
In March, Cher told E! News about the prospect of working with him again: "I think like any artist, when you've got something good, you're excited."
A source added to Page Six the couple, who were first linked in 2022, are "very close" and that he has been "spending more time at her Malibu manse".
Cher has been back in the headlines due to the release of her tell-all memoir, and recentlyperformed during the Victoria's Secret fashion show and was also inducted into the Rock Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, where she performed with Dua Lipa.
