Tate McRae bringing 22-date Miss Possessive tour to Detroit in first arena concert

DETROIT — Canadian pop singer Tate McRae will perform her first area arena concert at Little Caesars Arena on Aug. 16, venue officials announced Thursday.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 11 a.m. Nov. 22 via Ticketmaster. Pre-sales for American Express holders begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The show, part of the singer's Miss Possessive tour, was teased last week on Little Caesars Arena's social channels in a post that showed footage of McRae on the arena's video screens, along with the tease, "SO CLOSE."
The tour's 22-date North American run kicks off Aug. 5 in Vancouver and wraps Sept. 26 in Los Angeles. Swedish pop starlet Zara Larsson will open.
The 21-year-old McRae has been steadily rising since the release of her debut EP "All The Things I Never Said" in 2020. Two of her singles, "You Broke Me First" and "Greedy," have racked up more than 1 billion streams on Spotify, and she appeared as musical guest on an episode of "SNL" in 2023.
The singer's tour announcement goes hand in hand with the release of her new single and video, "2 Hands," which is due out Thursday, and McRae has also announced her third studio album, "So Close to What," will be released Feb. 21.
