You have questions. I have some answers.

Q: Will there be a 10th Jesse Stone TV movie? I heard a rumor that one was coming in 2024.

A: Fans have long wanted another Stone movie starring Tom Selleck of “Blue Bloods,” and inspired by the novels by Robert B. Parker. Nine movies aired between 2005 and 2015, the first eight premiering on CBS and the ninth on the Hallmark Channel; Selleck also had a hand in writing many of them. (All nine are on the Roku Channel, Prime Video and DVD.)

Selleck has kept the door open for a possible 10th movie, with reports at times that he was working on a script. In an interview for TV Insider last spring (and published in October) where he discussed life after the end of "Blue Bloods," he said “It looks like now I might have to write [a new Stone movie]. It wouldn’t be a final one because everybody loves it. Jesse is a great character, and it would be fascinating to find out where he is quite a few years later. ... I don’t know what’s next, but assuming the phone doesn’t stop ringing, I’m going to keep working.”

Q: Having finished watching the latest season of “The Diplomat" and its surprise ending, I wonder if there will be more. It certainly seems that there should be.

A: Having very much enjoyed the second season of the political drama (with lots of comedy), I am happy to say that it will be back. “Season 3 flips the chessboard,” creator, showrunner, and executive producer Debora Cahn said on Netflix’s Tudum website. “In Season 3, Kate [played by Keri Russell] lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want.” Production is already under way, in London and New York.

Do you have any information about the return of “All Creatures Great and Small" to PBS?

A: A fifth season of the series based on the books by James Herriot is coming to “Masterpiece” on Jan. 12. According to the show’s website, a new trailer shows that “both James and Tristan will return to Darrowby! What circumstances will bring them home, and how they will adjust? We know nothing more than the joy that their return brings. Other than that, animal hijinks, Mrs. Hall in uniform, and a deliciously adorable baby Jim round out this long-anticipated look at the upcoming season.”

Q: After I saw Jeff Bridges on Stephen Colbert’s show, I tuned into the second season of “The Old Man” on FX. Loved it. I looked for the first season and nada. Where can I watch all of it?

A: Both seasons of the series starring Oscar winner Bridges are on Hulu. It’s not yet clear if there will be a third season.

Q: There’s a current show of a single mom with special skills who helps solve crimes. Very fun, entertaining show but I can’t remember the name of the show to find it. Can you help?

A: You saw ABC’s amusing “High Potential,” where according to the network Kaitlin Olson plays “a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.” The bad news is that it began a midseason break after its episode on Nov. 12, just as your letter arrived. But it will be back with new episodes on Jan. 7 (the same night, by the way, that the network returns “Will Trent” and “The Rookie”). And you can catch the first seven "High Potential" episodes on Hulu.
