Coldplay's Chris Martin falls through stage door during Melbourne concert

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin narrowly avoided serious injury Sunday night when he fell through a door in the stage during a concert in Melbourne.
During a break in the set at at Marvel Stadium, video shows Martin engaged in some stage banter while walking backward toward the opening as concert crew try to put their hands through the hole to stop him from falling.
The crowd groans and gasps as Martin falls down.
The “Yellow” crooner manages to get up quickly and appears to shake off his tumble.
“That’s, uh, not planned. Thank you for catching me. So much,” Martin tells the crew. “Thank you guys, holy s–t. That was nearly a YouTube moment.”
He will have time to recover before Coldplay begins a run of shows at Accor Stadium in Sydney later this week.
Martin is not the only star to fall in Melbourne, though. The near-miss occurred weeks after Olivia Rodrigo experienced a similar fall at Rod Laver Arena in the Australian city during her “Guts” tour.
The “drivers license” singer similarly shook off the dip and resumed the show.
“I’m OK. Whoa. Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage,” she said. “That’s all right. OK. Where was I?”
“It was really scary. Watching the video back is pretty terrifying,” she told Jimmy Fallon last week on ‘The Tonight Show.’ “I mean the show must go on, that’s showbiz, baby.”
Earlier this year, Kid Cudi broke his foot after jumping off the stage at Coachella, bringing his set to an early end.
