A coming-of-age story tops the DVD releases for the week of Oct. 29.

"Dìdi": A Taiwanese American teenager (Izaac Wang) growing up in Fremont, California, navigates the summer before his freshman year of high school.

"One of the most plaintive refrains of the Y2K era was sung by Mark Hoppus of Blink-182: 'Well, I guess this is growing up,'" writes Tribune News Service critic Katie Walsh in her review. "Their hit song 'Dammit' was released in 1997, and precedes Sean Wang’s narrative feature debut 'Dìdi,' set in 2008, by a decade, but the poignant pop-punk sentiment hangs over this emo-era coming-of-age period piece nevertheless."

"The Perfect Christmas Present": Also from Hallmark, this holiday flick concerns a man with a knack for giving the perfect gifts who falls for a buddy's girlfriend.

"The Santa Summit": Three friends attending a Kris Kringle-filled Christmas party navigate the holiday season and platonic and romantic bonds in this final Hallmark release of the week.

"The Thicket": Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis star in this Western about a bounty hunter hired to rescue a girl kidnapped by a violent outlaw.

"Addams Family Values": Director Barry Sonnenfeld’s 1993 sequel about the titular macabre family has been newly remastered and made available on 4K Ultra HD for the first time. Cast includes Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd, Joan Cusack, Christina Ricci and Carol Kane.

"The Critic": Lesley Manville, Gemma Arterton and Ian McKellen star in this thriller set in the London theatrical world in which a critic becomes embroiled in a murderous web.
