DETROIT — Shakira has shifted her upcoming tour to next year, but while the Colombian superstar upsized her tour to stadiums in most markets, her Detroit concert is staying put at Little Caesars Arena.

The "Hips Don't Lie" chart-topper will perform at LCA on May 22, according to a tour announcement released Monday. The show was originally scheduled to take place Dec. 15, but in an announcement on Friday, the 47-year-old singer said, "the demand for tickets and more shows has reached the point that our tour now requires stadiums in the USA and more dates so I can see as many of you as possible."

Detroit is one of four cities on the tour's North American itinerary that is not moving up to stadiums, along with shows in Toronto, Montreal and Phoenix.

Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, and registration for pre-sale tickets is open now at Skakira's website. Tickets for the original Little Caesars Arena date will be honored at the newly announced show, and refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour — translation: Women No Longer Cry — was originally announced in April, and is named for her 2024 album, which was released in March.

The singer's last Detroit performance was in August 2018 at Little Caesars Arena.
