DETROIT — Eminem is releasing an expanded edition of his latest album, "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)," on Friday, the superstar rapper announced on social media on Tuesday.

The album was teased in a promotional video that sees Eminem entering a convenience store as his single "Somebody Save Me" plays over the store's speakers. He stops for a carton of milk and promptly drops it on the ground, and a picture of Slim Shady is seen on the side of the milk carton as it spills out to the floor.

Eminem is walking through the store when a second figure appears, seen only from behind, as a store clerk, played by Eminem's DJ the Alchemist, tells him to leave. The store's security cameras flips to the "Death of Slim Shady" font, followed by the words "Expanded Mourner's Edition," and a caption reads the album is due out Friday.

As in Friday the 13th.

"The Death of Slim Shady" was released in July and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart. The album is No. 32 on this week's chart.

The album has produced three singles: "Houdini," which peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100; "Tobey" and "Somebody Save Me."

Eminem is due to perform at MTV's Video Music Awards on Wednesday, where he'll open the show. He's up for eight awards including artist of the year, and video of the year for "Houdini."
