The last chapter in Netflix's dramatization of the House of Windsor tops the DVD releases for the week of Sept. 17.

"The Crown: Season 6": The adventures of Queen Elizabeth II reach their conclusion in this final season that finds Imelda Staunton still on the throne amid events both traumatic (Diana’s death and its aftermath) and benign (the college courtship of Will and Kate, aka the Prince and Princess of Wales).

"Despite a hefty budget, luxe visuals and a rotating cast of talented actors conspicuously better looking than their real-life counterparts, 'The Crown' ends its six-season run on Netflix revealing surprisingly little beneath the royal family’s inscrutable facade," writes Chicago Tribune critic Nina Metz in her review. "If the first half of Season 6 benefits from a tight focus on the months leading up to the death of Princess Diana in 1997, the second half is scattered by comparison."

"Bringing out the Dead": To mark its 25th anniversary, Martin Scorsese's 1999 drama starring Nicolas Cage as a NYC paramedic barely clinging to sanity has been newly remastered and made available on both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray for the first time.

"The Long Good Friday": John Mackenzie's 1980 British crime thriller starring Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren joins the Criterion Collection with a new 4K digital restoration.

"Devil's Men": World War II film that follows a young man from his Wyoming ranch to the battlefields of Europe and his heroics at the Battle of Anzio.

"Close to You": Elliot Page stars in this drama as a transgender man struggling for acceptance while visiting family.
