DETROIT — From Little Caesars Arena to WJLB, the new "Beverly Hills Cop" film, "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F," is well connected to Detroit.

Here's a guide to the film's many Detroit sights, sounds and references.

Detroit Red Wings: The movie's first big set piece is a robbery at Little Caesars Arena, during a Red Wings game. Eddie Murphy's Axel Foley is seen in the stands at the game and in a standoff inside the Red Wings locker room, but that was all movie magic: cameras were rolling when the Red Wings faced the Las Vegas Golden Knights at LCA on Dec. 3, 2022 — the Wings lost that game, 4-1 — but Murphy never stepped foot in Detroit for the shoot. And the locker room is a set, not the Wings' real locker room.

Detroit Lions: Foley is still sporting his Lions varsity coat, but it's been updated since the one he made famous in the previous films. While there was talk of Foley wearing a reproduction of the original jacket, "we decided that it shouldn't be that old one, because that means he's had it for 40 years, and it would have been really beat up," Nancy Steiner, the film's costume designer, told The News last week. The new jacket, which "does not exist in the world" and was custom-made for Murphy, updates Foley's style. "I wanted him to look a little more fresh and modern," she said. Foley also wears a vintage blue Lions sweatshirt that Steiner was able to find online.

Detroit radio stations: The first voice heard in the movie is Bushman, the longtime WJLB-FM (97.9) host, who is on the radio in a car being driven by Foley. When he was asked to participate in the film, "My reaction was, oh my God, is this real?" says Bushman. "I was excited to be a part of something that's historic, in my opinion." That's not all for WJLB: for a large chunk of the movie, Foley wears a yellow WLJB T-shirt, and also sports a shirt baring the old-school logo of WLLZ-FM, the former 98.7. But don't go hunting for the shirts in vintage shops, they were created specifically for the film by Steiner and her team.

Detroit sightseeing: During Foley's opening cruise through the Motor City and a later downtown chase, he cruises by all manner of Detroit landmarks, including but not limited to the Renaissance Center, the Joe Louis fist sculpture, Lafayette and American Coney Islands, downtown's Crossfit in the D, and plenty more.

Bob Seger: Seger is not seen on screen, but his hit "Shakedown," from the soundtrack to "Beverly Hills Cop II," plays on the soundtrack during an early chase through the city. Fun fact: "Shakedown" is Seger's only chart topper on Billboard's Hot 100, its reign lasting one week in August 1987. It was replaced by U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."

Gil Hill: The late former Detroit Police Department Commander, who played one of Foley's superiors in 1984's original "Beverly Hills Cop," is seen in a photograph on the wall of Paul Reiser's character's office. (Hill died in 2016 at age 84.)

Ford Bronco: When Foley arrives in Beverly Hills, he gets a hold of a Ford Bronco, a set of wheels he rightfully refers to as "a Detroit classic."
