Bestselling fantasy author Neil Gaiman is facing new and detailed accusations of sexual assault following a report published Monday.

Accusations against Gaiman, the author of “American Gods” and “Coraline,” among others books, were first reported in July 2024 in a podcast series titled, “Master: the allegations against Neil Gaiman.”

In a report published Monday by Vulture, eight women said Gaiman sexually harassed and abused them, some describing graphically demeaning behavior.

“He asked if he could (redacted) on my face, and I said ‘no’ but he did anyway,” alleged victim Scarlett Pavlovich told Vulture. “He said, ‘Call me ‘master,’ and I’ll (redacted).’ He said, ‘Be a good girl. You’re a good little girl.’”

Gaiman, 64, has denied all the allegations since they were first reported, including those mentioned in Monday’s article. However, several Hollywood adaptations of his stories have been paused.

Many of the women said Gaiman forced them into BDSM-style “fantasies” that they never consented to, Vulture reported. Gaiman’s estranged wife, artist and author Amanda Palmer, once said “fourteen women have come to me” about Gaiman’s behavior, according to the report.

Gaiman has not faced any criminal charges for his alleged conduct. Pavlovich filed a police report in New Zealand, where she said the abuse occurred, but it went nowhere, according to Vulture.

Multiple women told the outlet Gaiman sent them money after their abusive relationships ended and forced them to sign nondisclosure agreements. Gaiman and Palmer, who had an open marriage, have been entangled in divorce proceedings since 2020.
