'Very disrespectful': Lauren Sanchez's outfit to inauguration raises eyebrows

Ouch. Another fashion don’t for Lauren Sanchez. And this time on the world stage.

Jeff Bezos’ fiancée briefly managed to take the attention off of Donald Trump being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday.

Sanchez showed up to the inauguration at the United States Capitol Rotunda in an all-white pants suit by Alexander MCQueen, with a peekaboo bra underneath.

Many keyboard warriors channeled their inner fashion police voicing their displeasure with the risque outfit in the only way they know how: the online complaint department.

On X, dozens of folks more or less had the same opinion: The former “Extra” anchor just didn’t pull it off.

Some highlights:

“Jeff Bezos’s future wife is incredibly inappropriately dressed for a state occasion. Someone should have told her that having her white lace bra out on display is not acceptable.”

“Money does not equal class. Disgraceful.”

“Really, a bra plainly visible. Today is NOT a nightclub event.”

“So trashy.”

“Thirsty for attention.”

“Very, very disrespectful.”

“Inappropriate and self indulgent.”

At least one person had a sense of humor about the situation. A “Seinfeld” fan compared the 55-year-old Texan to Sue Ellen Mischke, Elaine’s rival who proudly wore a bra as a top in the street, causing Kramer to crash.

This is hardly the first time Sanchez has raised eyebrows for her sartorial choices.

Last April, when she and the Amazon founder attended Joe and Jill Biden’s state dinner honoring Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, her red corset getup caused an uproar.

As for Monday, let’s put aside etiquette for a moment. Wasn’t Sanchez cold wearing lingerie? The weather in D.C. was a far cry from what the children’s book author is accustomed to in Miami Beach. The arctic chill was the reason the swearing in ceremony was moved inside in the first place.

As Women’s Wear Daily notes, the Indian Creek Village resident already tried this sexy monochromatic ensemble on for her Instagram followers last month. It got a much better reception back then, probably because her fans didn’t know it was going to be trotted out for the inauguration.

“Perfection.”

“Can you get any more gorgeous?”

One of her harshest critics, restaurateur Keith McNally, even approved.

“You look terrific! These clothes look great on you.”
