The U.S. Army Green Beret who died by suicide as he blew up a Cybertruck outside President-elect Donald Trump’s Las Vegas hotel wrote it was “time to wake up” in notes penned before his death on New Year’s Day, local and federal law enforcement said Friday.

Las Vegas police and federal officials released new details about Colorado Springs, Colorado, resident Matthew Livelsberger, confirming that he acted alone and repeating that he was not connected to a deadly terrorist attack in New Orleans that killed 14 people in addition to the attacker.

Police officials released sections of Livelsberger’s “manifesto” in a news conference Friday afternoon after it was shared on podcasts and said they would release the full documents later today.

“Fellow servicemembers, veterans and all Americans, time to wake up!” Livelsberger wrote, according to the cropped notes shared by Las Vegas police. “We are being led by weak and feckless leadership who only serve to enrich themselves.”

Livelsberger likely had post-traumatic stress disorder and ongoing family problems that contributed to his actions, sheriff’s officials said Friday.
