1 dead, 7 injured after cybertruck explosion outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — One person was killed and seven suffered minor injuries when a Tesla Cybertruck exploded in front of the entrance to Trump International Hotel early Wednesday morning, Sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a news conference.
The person who died was in the Cybertruck, and McMahill said it was unclear if it was a man or a woman.
The fire was reported just after 8:40 a.m. at 2000 Fashion Show Drive, according to the Clark County Fire Department’s PulsePoint app. The fire is out, according to the Metropolitan Police Department’s X social media account.
Fashion Show Drive is closed in both directions from Sammy Davis Jr. Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard. South, according to the RTC X account.
Investigators are asking the public to avoid the area.
