Prince Harry reportedly invited King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton to attend a milestone service for the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games in London this week, though none of them attended.

The 39-year-old Duke of Sussex invited the trio to join him at Wednesday’s Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral, per People. The royal founded the sporting event to help rehabilitate veterans and active service members who are wounded or sick.

The invitation was extended as the monarch, 75, and the 42-year-old Princess of Wales each undergo cancer treatment.

In the run-up to the service this week, reps for Harry — who, along with wife Meghan Markle, decamped to the U.S. upon stepping back from his royal duties in early 2020 — confirmed he would not see his father during his trip to Britain.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” they said in a statement. “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Last week, Charles and Queen Camilla visited a London cancer hospital, marking the king’s first public appearance since announcing his diagnosis in early February.

Both Charles and Kate were hospitalized in mid-January — Charles for an enlarged prostate and Kate for previously scheduled abdominal surgery.

Kate addressed widespread speculation — and conspiracy theories— regarding her subsequent absence from the public eye in a solemn video in late March, in which she revealed that she too had been diagnosed with cancer.

The princess noted at the time that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy and had wanted to keep her condition under wraps as she and 41-year-old William aimed to protect their young children — George, 10; Charlotte, 9; and Louis, 6.
