ST. LOUIS — It was a sleepy Sunday in St. Louis — at least inside Enterprise Center.

In their first game since being eliminated from postseason contention on Friday night, the Blues beat the Kraken 4-1 in this season's home finale.

Jordan Kyrou scored the game-winning goal just 59 seconds into the third period for St. Louis to cap a lethargic game between two teams missing the playoffs. Kyrou pounced on a rebound of a Matthew Kessel shot on goal to give the Blues a lead and score his team-leading 31st goal of the season.

Kyrou has 17 points in his past 12 games.

Brayden Schenn scored an insurance goal at 16:37 of the third period by driving the net on the rush, drawing a penalty on Justin Schultz and still guided the puck across the goal line. It was his 20th goal of the season.

Nathan Walker added an empty-netter with 59.7 seconds left in the third period.

Kasperi Kapanen scored in the first period for the Blues, answering Jared McCann's goal for Seattle that gave the Kraken an initial 1-0 lead. Both goals were almost identical.

McCann stripped Marco Scandella of a puck at the offensive blue line as Scandella tried to play a pass from Zack Bolduc. McCann led the rush and then beat Joel Hofer with a shot on the nearside with 5:36 remaining in the first period.

With 1:42 left in the first, Kapanen tied the game after Alexey Toropchenko forced a turnover along the boards in front of the Blues bench. Kapanen's shot went under Joey Daccord's right arm and found the back of the net for his sixth goal of the season.

The Blues had chances in the second period but couldn't convert on any of them.

Pavel Buchnevich's cross-crease saucer pass toward Kyrou was snared out of the air by Daccord. Bolduc slid a backhand in tight directly toward the post as he missed an open net. Bolduc also had a chance when Robert Thomas set him up in the slot for a one-timer.

Bolduc entered the afternoon with goals in his previous three games.

The Blues will end their season on Wednesday in Dallas.
