‘Bridgerton’ returns to Netflix soon — and so do its lavish costumes

I have no idea why I don’t watch “Bridgerton” (well, I started Season One ages ago and just wasn’t clicking with it; should I try again?), when the costumes alone are such a dream.
This image is from the upcoming third season, and can I just say that the performance given by the hair on Golda Rosheuvel’s Queen Charlotte is up there with the best I’ve seen by human actors this year? That glorious sweep of a coiffure just has so much to say. As do the lovely gowns, created by costume designer Sophie Canale — and I appreciate how Queen Charlotte’s jewelry coordinates so nicely with her regal metallic chair.
Season Three begins streaming May 16 on Netflix; I may just have to tune in.
