Dog pulls off savage tackle in game of backyard football

PITTSBURGH (UPI) -- It seems that man's best friend, playing a round of backyard football with his young master, took the game a little too seriously and pulled off a pro-level tackle.
The video, posted to Instagram by HighlightHub, shows a young boy wearing what appears to be a Troy Polamalu No. 43 Pittsburgh Steelers jersey running to catch a football.
The boy executes an impressive catch, but he has only started to run when he meets with a defender -- the family pooch.
The dog expertly sweeps the boy off his feet, causing him to fumble the ball, which the dog then recovers.
The play was branded "unnecessary ruff-ness" in the video's description.
